Nami helps you set, cascade, and track goals at every level of your organization. Whether you are an individual contributor aligning to team objectives or a leader defining company-wide priorities, the Goals module keeps everything connected.
Creating a Goal
- Navigate to Dashboard > Goals > New Goal.
- Enter a title and optional description.
- Choose the scope: Individual, Team, or Company.
- Set metrics with a start value, current value, and target value so progress is calculated automatically.
- Optionally link the goal to an active review cycle so it appears during self and manager assessments.
Tip
Use specific, measurable targets. Instead of "Improve retention," try "Reduce monthly churn from 5% to 3% by Q3."
Goal Scopes
| Scope | Visible to | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| Individual | Owner + manager | Personal development, role-specific KPIs |
| Team | All team members + leadership | Shared deliverables, squad OKRs |
| Company | Entire workspace | Strategic priorities, north-star metrics |
Tracking Progress
Each goal displays a progress bar derived from your metric values. Update the current value at any time; the percentage recalculates instantly. Goals can have one of four tracking statuses: On Track, At Risk, Delayed, or Achieved.
Goal Cascading
Company goals can be linked as parents of team goals, and team goals as parents of individual goals. This creates a cascade tree so leadership can see how top-level objectives break down across the organization.
Info
Goals linked to a cycle will surface in the Goal Setting phase, giving reviewers full context during assessments.
Linking Goals to Cycles
When creating or editing a goal, select an active cycle from the dropdown. The goal then appears in the review form for that cycle, allowing self-assessors and managers to reference progress directly.
