Nami uses Nami, your AI assistant in Slack, to keep everyone on track with review deadlines. Here is how the reminder system works.
Automatic Reminder Schedule
Nami sends Slack DMs at three intervals before each phase deadline:
| When | Message |
|---|---|
| 7 days before | Friendly heads-up that a deadline is approaching |
| 3 days before | Reminder with a direct link to the pending review |
| 1 day before | Urgent nudge highlighting the deadline is tomorrow |
Reminders are sent automatically -- no action needed from admins or HR.
Info
Reminders only go to participants who have not yet submitted. If you complete your review early, you will not receive further reminders for that phase.
"Remind Me Later"
When Nami sends a reminder, you can tap Remind me later. This snoozes the notification and Nami will follow up again in a few hours, giving you time to finish other work first.
Tip
Use "Remind me later" sparingly. It is better to complete your review in one sitting while context is fresh.
What Happens If You Miss a Deadline
If a phase deadline passes and your review is not submitted:
- Your review status changes to Overdue.
- Nami sends a final notification letting you know you are past due.
- Your manager and HR can see the overdue status on their dashboards.
- You can still submit -- the review is not locked -- but the late submission is recorded.
Warning
Consistently overdue reviews may delay the entire cycle from progressing to the next phase. Submit on time to keep the process moving for everyone.
